Take Your Meeting to a Nevada Ghost Town

Printer-friendly version

If the name of your meeting planning strategy is seclusion, a Nevada ghost town just might be the right place for you and your group. Recently voted one of America's Coolest Ghost Towns by Travel + Leisure, the abandoned district of Rhyolite, Nev., near Death Valley National Park might make a fun field trip.

Head out from The Furnace Creek Inn to view the town's open air art museum with its ghostly statues from Belgian artist Albert Szukalski or explore Rhyolite's famous and recently-rehabilitated Bottle House.

Rhyolite is located four miles outside Beatty, Nev. which has several options for meeting and lodging venues, including the Atomic Inn, Stagecoach Hotel & Casino and Bailey's Hot Springs. And as long as you're there, check out other local attractions, including the Death Valley Ranch (also known as Scotty's Castle) or take the Titus Canyon Tour of Death Valley National Park which leaves from the Atomic Inn.
