Soul Community Planet Hotels (SCP Hotels), based in Laguna Beach, California, debuted its new SCP WildFree Colorado Springs Hotel this summer, expanding the reach of its brand focused on what it calls “holistic hospitality.” SCP Hotels properties revolve around providing attendees with locally rooted, planet-conscious venues. The WildFree Colorado Springs property features a 5,000-square-foot SCP Fit fitness center, an outdoor pool, and gathering spaces filled with art to enhance the hotel’s free-spirited atmosphere.
The hotel also has 4,000 square feet of meeting space and 141 guest rooms. WildFree’s relatively modest meeting areas offer a more relaxed alternative to those of the average hotel, with couches, leather chairs, and dining tables providing a chill atmosphere for smaller sessions and breakouts.
“Colorado’s culture and landscape have always embodied the free-spirited energy at the heart of SCP WildFree,” says SCP Hotels co-founder and CEO Ken Cruse in a prepared statement. “Colorado Springs is a natural home for our first WildFree property. It’s a place where the classic road trip motel gets a soulful, modern update for travelers who want to explore with purpose and commune with like-minded wayfarers.”
Another feature of SCP Hotels is its “Every Stay Does Good” program. Every stay at the company’s properties helps plant a tree in an unnaturally deforested area, clean one square meter of Costa Rican shoreline, and remove 2.2 pounds of trash from Hawaii beaches, among other socially and eco-conscious incentives.
