Kimpton Seattle and Portland Locations Welcome New General Managers

By M+E Staff

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle and Kimpton Hotel Monaco Portland both recently hired new general managers.

The Seattle location has welcomed Mike Hill back to the property as the new general manager. Hill first joined Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle as an engineer in 2011, he returned in 2014 as the assistant general manager, and now he assumes the general manager role.

Travis Williams has joined the Portland location this winter as its new general manager. Williams joined the Kimpton brand four years ago, first in Seattle, then in Aspen and Salt Lake City. Now, Williams brings his hands-on leadership back to his hometown.

Most recently managing The Grand Hotel in Minneapolis, Hill returns to a rapidly growing Seattle. His focus is to maintain Hotel Monaco’s relevancy and leadership as a best-loved hotel in Seattle by fostering employee culture, delivering memorable guest experience and managing the on-going profitability of the hotel.

Williams built his career in hotel sales and operations, and he is focused on making his hotel the best in guest experience and Portland hospitality. The historic downtown hotel is known for its service, and Williams will guide employees to deliver on those expectations, while also overseeing sales and revenue strategies.
