Awards ready for presentation: Hospitality Leadership Award went to Naomi Naylor, executive director of Quakertown Alive!; Guest Service Excellence Award went to Natalie Blumberg, director of sales at the Holiday Inn Express in Quakertown; Rising Star Award went to Jessica Nugent, aquatics director at Sesame Place; Community Service Award went to Discover Doylestown; and Dedicated Partner Award went to Joe Capone, executive director at Friends of Washington Crossing Park.
Visit Bucks County hosted its annual Tourism Day Celebration on May 3, 2016. This year, the celebration was held from 4-7 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Visit Bucks County kicked off the event by recognizing five inspiring tourism and hospitality professionals in its annual Travel and Tourism Week Awards. VBC also announced 31 spring tourism grant recipients, with over $200,000 allocated for various marketing programs, exhibits and initiatives.
