Brush Creek Ranch, the luxury ranch destination in Saratoga, Wyoming, promoted Catherine West to general manager of Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch in late June. A Wyoming native, West built her career with the ranch across multiple leadership roles, demonstrating a deep commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.

“Catherine’s promotion reflects not only her strong operational leadership, but also the meaningful impact she has had on our guest satisfaction,” says Chuck Collins, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Brush Creek Ranch, in a prepared statement. “As a Wyoming native with years of experience at the ranch, she brings a genuine connection to our brand and destination, along with a proven ability to enhance service excellence and create truly memorable guest experiences. We are confident that, under her leadership, the Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch will continue to set the standard for luxury hospitality while staying true to the authentic spirit of the West that defines Brush Creek Ranch.”

West first joined Brush Creek Ranch as event manager from 2018 to 2019, and she returned in 2021 as event director, where she led all event operations across the ranch’s luxury properties—Lodge & Spa, Magee Homestead, French Creek, and Platte Canyon Glamping— in addition to The Farm at Brush Creek, which is home to the award-winning, fine-dining restaurant, Cheyenne Club. In this role, she oversaw weddings, corporate retreats, and signature ranch events, managing budgets, vendors, communication strategies, and on-site execution.

She was later promoted to director of guest experience, assuming leadership of all room operations along with event management. In this role, West was instrumental in elevating service standards, enhancing the full guest experience, and driving alignment across departments to deliver a seamless luxury hospitality experience. Now serving as general manager of Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch (the flagship and largest property), West is responsible for overall leadership and performance, guiding strategic operations while continuing to foster authentic Western hospitality.

“I am honored to step into the role of general manager of the Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch and to continue growing with a place that has meant so much to me both personally and professionally,” says West. “Growing up in the area, I have a deep appreciation for the land, the people, and the spirit that make Wyoming so special. It is incredibly rewarding to share that authentic Western culture with our guests and create experiences that feel both genuine and unforgettable. I look forward to leading our team as we continue to deliver exceptional hospitality rooted in the traditions and values of the ranch.”

West brings nearly two decades of experience in hospitality and event management. She began her career at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Arizona, holding several progressive roles, including spa concierge, event services manager, and catering sales executive, and also served as conference coordinator at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee.

West has a deep appreciation for the land, community, and spirit of the region she calls home. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the Wyoming lifestyle. She is also a proud new mother and cherishes time with her daughter, who is her greatest joy.
