Tobias Burkhalter, assistant general manager of The Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton, rode in the 200-mile 2026 Chefs Cycle. It marked his fifth time participating in the annual ride, and this year, Burkhalter raised more than $10,800. The June 1-3 bike event kicked off in Bend, Oregon, and it motivated chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals to raise critical funds and awareness for No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., that aims to ensure every American child has access to three meals a day. “Across all efforts and participants, the Chefs Cycle campaign raised $1,262,690 for No Kid Hungry during the 2026 campaign and over $10 million over the past 11 years,” Burkhalter says.
Helping connect Chefs Cycle’s national mission to meaningful Denver-area impact, The Art Hotel staff built bikes that the organization donated to Montview Boys & Girls Club in Aurora, while Fifth Generation Distilled Spirits of Austin, Texas, donated $1 to No Kid Hungry for each Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail sold in June at the hotel’s Fire Restaurant & Lounge. Also, the property’s management company, Commonwealth Hotels of Covington, Kentucky, contributed $16,867 to Chefs Cycle.
