Reflecting the impact of a series of major improvements, The Club at Ravenna in Littleton was presented six awards in the Private Club/Staff Picks category through Colorado Avid Golfer’s 2023 CAGGY Awards. Of the 28 reviewed, only one other club received more awards in this category.
Recognition for The Club at Ravenna included Best Overall Experience, Most Underrated Club, Best Club to Hold a Tournament, Best Men’s Locker Room, Best Food, and Best Clubhouse.
It’s a dramatic transformation for a golf club that was a struggling enterprise only 10 years ago.
Ravenna opened its new $17 million, 25,000-square-foot clubhouse last year, concluding $38 million of investment in various projects since new ownership took over in 2014. The clubhouse features a state-of-the-art kitchen for Chef de Cuisine David Lazarus and his team, an extensive wine cellar, and a wine cave that doubles as a dining room and meeting and events venue.
“With well-placed capital investments and the hard work of many talented people, we achieved our vision of becoming Colorado’s next great club,” says Kevin Collins, president and CEO.
In addition to the new clubhouse, a new state-of-the-art fitness center and pool has been introduced, a mid-course halfway house added, several course greens and fairways rebuilt, tee boxes redesigned, and more. Also contributing to the recent recognition for The Club at Ravenna is state-of-the-art groundskeeping equipment featuring remote sensing and mapping technology.
The Club at Ravenna is available for private golf tournaments and events. The property’s own flagship event each July benefits Infinite Hero and features an evening gala, golf, fireside chats, live music, and stories of inspiration from America’s military heroes. Last year’s event raised more than $400,000.
