Presented during Cvent Connect—the Virginia-based event management software company’s annual flagship industry conference—the Cvent Excellence Awards honor standout leaders across the meetings, events, and hospitality industry. This year’s conference and awards program was held in Nashville, Tennessee, at Music City Center, from July 13 to 16, and celebrated InterContinental Houston (among other venues and organizations) for its data-driven strategies for securing and hosting meetings and events.
The Texas property received The Business Intelligencer award for Excellence in Hospitality Analytics, recognizing its innovative approach to using analytics to improve sales performance, maximize meeting and event opportunities, and deliver exceptional value to planners and attendees. The accolade was announced at the same time the hotel launched its new dedicated meetings website, which further underscores its ability to provide a seamless, comprehensive experience for planners from start to finish.

The AAA Four-Diamond hotel is located south of Houston’s downtown near the Texas Medical Center campus and Rice University. It offers 354 guest rooms and suites, as well as 18,000 square feet of function space across 14 venues.
