Hyatt Regency Dallas welcomed Lance Marrin as its new general manager at the end of July. The longtime Hyatt Hotels Corp. leader brings nearly 40 years of industry experience to the role, most recently holding the same title at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort in Arizona for five years, during which he oversaw a $120 million transformation of the property that added 12,000 square feet of meeting space.

Dallas is a familiar market for Marrin, who was general manager of the Grand Hyatt DFW from 2011 to 2015, after which he did stints at Hyatt properties in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Bellevue, Washington, until his tenure in Arizona.
Hyatt Regency Dallas is housed in the city’s downtown near Reunion Tower, an observation tower known for its panoramic city views, and also is near the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. The hotel offers 1,120 guest rooms, five food and beverage outlets, and 160,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The latter is anchored by expansive venues, including the 26,000-square-foot Union Station Dallas (owned by the city of Dallas and connected to the hotel), the 39,000-square-foot Marsalis Hall, and the 30,000-square-foot Landmark Ballroom, among several other gathering spaces.
