In mid-June, Corpus Christi’s Hilliard Center welcomed Tiffany Sun as its general manager, appointed by the venue’s Denver-based management company, Oak View Group. Sun has been with Oak View Group for 18 years, most recently serving as general manager of another of its facilities, Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, since 2017.

“Tiffany’s track record throughout her career with Oak View Group reflects her exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence,” says Greg O’Dell, president of venue management at Oak View Group, in a prepared statement. “Her proven ability to create successful, revenue-generating initiatives while building strong, collaborative teams has delivered lasting impact and sustained performance at every venue she has worked at.”

Sun’s role at Hilliard Center comprises overseeing its strategic direction and day-to-day operations across the various on-site venues, including an arena, the Selena Auditorium, and a convention center. She works closely with community stakeholders, promoters, clients, partners, and area organizations to continue delivering high-quality events at the property.

“The opportunity to lead the Hilliard Center is truly exciting,” says Sun. “Having spent nearly two decades in the live entertainment and venue-management industry, I am energized by the chance to collaborate with the community, attract outstanding events, and continue building a destination that residents can be proud of. I look forward to collaborating with the team and creating experiences that bring people together while contributing to the continued growth and success of Hilliard Center.”

For planners, the Hillard Center’s arena features 10,000 seats, the auditorium accommodates nearly 2,600, and the convention center spans 138,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.
