Loews Hotels & Co. of New York City is bringing its third property to Arlington’s Entertainment District, replacing the former Sheraton Arlington Hotel. Renamed the Americana by Loews Hotels–Arlington, TX, the hotel pays homage to the former Americana Hotel in Bal Harbour, Florida, a landmark Loews property that opened in 1956. Amenities will include 507 guest rooms and 39 suites, as well as some 83,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The Arlington hotel will bring the city’s Loews campus to a total of 1,695 available guest rooms and more than 374,000 square feet of event space. The Sheraton property was demolished in June, and construction of the Americana by Loews began shortly thereafter. The new property has an expected opening date of late 2028 or early 2029.
