Texas’ hotel pipeline continues to produce new and renovated properties statewide, and Texas Meetings + Events highlights three cities that have recently welcomed fresh and transformed options for planners to consider for their meetings and events.

The Inn at Green Pastures opened in Austin in early December and features 63 guest rooms, a private pool, fitness center, restaurant and bar, and an event space. Green Pastures is a hospitality and community hub dating to 1895, and the hotel joins its existing properties that include Mattie’s at Green Pastures restaurant and Caretaker’s Cottage and Lawn (an event venue). Planners can host gatherings at the inn’s ballroom and adjoining courtyard, which accommodates up to 300 attendees.

Also in Austin, the Hyatt Regency Austin completed a propertywide renovation in November, which updated its 448 guest rooms and suites, corridors, meeting facilities, and public spaces. The project also introduced three dining outlets: Ripple & Roots restaurant, Cypress Grove restaurant, and Juniper Breeze Market for quick bites. Among the renovated event venues are the Zilker, Texas, and Foothills ballrooms, all of which are on the hotel’s 17th floor.

Located in Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal D, the Grand Hyatt DFW celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a $34 million transformation, which was completed in February. The renovations focused on guest rooms and suites, event venues, and public and dining spaces. The project also debuted two top-floor gathering spaces, including an executive boardroom and an indoor/outdoor rooftop venue.

New Braunfels’ historic Faust Hotel will reopen in May following a multimillion-dollar renovation. The extensive project includes updates to all guest rooms and suites, the hotel’s Magnolia Patio, and its lobby bar, and the hotel also will debut Wilhelm & Werner restaurant and bar and a basement speakeasy. In addition to the renovations, The Faust Hotel features an elegant Grand Ballroom that accommodates up to 100 attendees.
