Blake Henry departed Visit South Padre Island as executive director in late September after over three years in the top role. During his tenure, the island experienced booming convention and leisure visitation, with an average of 9 million annual travelers. Henry is now the chief operating officer of New York City-based Theatre Projects, a theater, arts, and cultural architectural design and planning/consulting firm.
