If you haven’t been to Frisco lately, it’s time for a visit. I’ve always been a fan of Frisco, but lately there’s been even more to love — especially when it comes to meetings and events.
I’ve been keeping tabs on the 175-acre, $1.6 billion upscale mixed used development known as Wade Park for quite some time, and was excited to learn it will be home to Texas’ first Langham Hotels & Resorts hotel. This international luxury hotel brand, known for its sophisticated design and top-tier hospitality, is slated to open early 2018. Thomas Land & Development is the owner and developer of the hotel, which will be situated along the Dallas North Tollway at Lebanon Road, and is partnering with Langham Hospitality Group on the project.
When complete, the Langham Hotels & Resorts property will add 25,000-square feet of meeting and convention space to Frisco’s offerings, including boutique meeting rooms that will dovetail well with businesses in nearby office towers.
“This hotel will be a centerpiece for Wade Park, surrounded by high-end restaurants, retail, entertainment, offices and residences built for a new generation, with a luxurious, metropolitan design and amenities for both locals and travelers alike. This will be the area’s premium urban resort,” says Stan Thomas, president and CEO of Thomas Land and Development.
5G Studio Collaborative in Dallas designed the sleek 35-floor hotel, including up to 25 hotel floors and 10 floors of planned residential. The Langham Hotels & Resorts luxury hotel at Wade Park will include 250 guest rooms, including several one- and two-bedroom suites, and two nearly 3,000 square feet presidential suites.
Amenities will include a rooftop pool deck with full-service bar, and a courtyard ideal for outdoor events. Chuan Spa will offer onsite services.
