Fertitta Entertainment of Houston entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment Inc. in a $17.6 billion, all-cash deal announced in late May. Caesars operates 52 casino properties across the country, including Harrah’s Northern California in Ione, Harrah’s Resort Southern California in Valley Center, and 15 properties in neighboring Nevada. The deal is still working its way through necessary approvals, but the purchase could close as soon as mid-2027.
