Following the successful completion of its Phase 1 renovations in December, the Fort Worth Convention Center announced its plans for Phase 2 in early February. A key component will be the construction of a convention building to replace the center’s existing arena, with demolition of the arena slated for early 2027; the last event in the current venue will take place this September. Additional objectives for Phase 2 include renovating and modernizing existing meeting, event, and exhibit space, plus refreshing the interior design, informed by feedback via meeting planner focus groups. Phase 2 is expected to be completed in early 2030.
