Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago and Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown have partnered with Spinway to offer a new urban biking program. The bike corrals are located in front of each hotel, and allow guests access to rent bikes to explore the city. This biking program is a part of a larger Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group partnership with the bike rental company Spinway, and is launching at the two Blu hotels in North America as part of the pilot program.
“Chicago this time of year is certainly walkable, but biking allows for guests to see so much more of the city. We’re thrilled that the program is launching in two cities both known for a strong biking community,” says Marina Braica, Director of Sales and Marketing, Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago.
“Minneapolis is ranked the number one biking city in America, and our hotel has always strived to stay deeply connected to the community,” says Steven Lindburg, General Manager, Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown.
In time for summer weather, Spinway bikes offer a unique opportunity for guests and locals to take advantage of the season by offering a full 24-hours of biking access to explore the city on wheels. Bikers check out a bike at the corral with their credit card, and are able to rent in increments of 1 hour ($11), 4 hours ($22), or 8 hours ($33). Once rented, guests have free range of the bikes for the entire time allotment that they choose, allowing for leisurely and uninterrupted rides along the Chicago Lakefront Trail, the East & West River Parkways in Minneapolis, or picnics in the park. Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago and Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown offer helmets and bike locks at the front desk to accompany the bikes, complimentary to guests, and the Minnesotan hotel also offers a bike route map for guests to take in the best of the city.
